The Three Little Pigs
My fourth book was really good fun to do. I love drawing pigs anyway so I was really pleased when I was asked to do the illustrations and especially working with Viv French. This book is a read-me story play and designed to be used in the classroom. There are different coloured lines of text for the groups of children to read out aloud. The books come in two sizes; a small size for the kids to read from and a giant size for the teacher to hold up. The illustrations look fab on such a huge scale and the kids get really excited when they see a book this big.
How Long Did it Take to Draw?
The pig characters took no time at all to create. I gave them all different characteristics and of course now the story is politically correct so the girl pig comes up trumps with the brick house. The wolf couldn't catch a cold, never mind the three little pigs! The entire book took two and half months, from roughs to finished artwork. I gain more confidence with every book and I’m getting a lot quicker!
