School visits

I always enter a school bursting with enthusiasm and after a day of amazing workshops, the staff and children are buzzing too. I really do love my job!

Library events

My hilarious library sessions are a brilliant way of encouraging budding artists of ALL ages! I am very flexible and reliable and can confidently perform in front of any mixed aged group. Why should kids have all the fun, hey adults?!

Book festivals

I love working on a big scale on big stages at large scale festivals all over the UK. Give me a mic and I’ll have everyone laughing and drawing along.

Spreading Joy & Creativity

My aim in life is to spread happiness and to inspire audiences into becoming life-long, creative- thinking, book lovers. I am extremely enthusiastic, happy, hardworking and driven and it shows in every single one of my performances!”

I love drawing in my studio but I find it difficult to sit quietly every day as I have a very energetic personality (some would say annoying!) I perform at book festivals, museums, libraries and schools which I thoroughly enjoyed. Every year, I visit hundreds of schools all over the world, (Vietnam, Brunei, China, Hong Kong, Middle East, Europe) encouraging and inspiring children which is the best part of my job. I have been an illustrator/author since 1998 and I’ve only ever received amazing feedback over the years!

I’m regularly seen promoting a love of drawing and books in UK libraries and at festivals such as Hull’s Big Malarkey and NCBF. I work regularly in schools/events with my creative friends such as the poet Paul Cookson who I have created several books with and fellow local author, Adam Bushnell. We often visit schools together to celebrate creative weeks and getting the children to really focus on poetry, story writing and creativity. The visits are a brilliant to way to engage children and we need booking months in advance.

My Children's Books

I've produced some wonderful picture books for a large number of publishers over the years. In 2024, I self published two Let's Draw With Liz books and they proved to be a huge success. They are only available to buy from me.

Lots of my books are classed as local interest projects funded by various companies and councils.

I really enjoy researching and writing about local history. I often involve school children and communities in creating the story and the artwork that features in the books. It's great fun and the children love to see their designs come to life.

Illustration & Project Commissions

As well as creating my own Let's Draw With Liz books, I regularly illustrate for a variety of clients from worldwide publishers to ceramic companies to small independent companies and local councils.

I have illustrated banners that represent school values, designed super heroes for big events, poetry books using lottery and Arts Council funding.

If you have a book that needs illustrating, I can help to guide you onto the right path.
